Manchester City’s Maicon claims he is enjoying life in England and targeted a return to the Seleção ahead of the 2013 Confederations Cup.

The Brazil fullback made the switch to England from Italian giants Inter in a £3.5m move as he rejoined former boss Roberto Mancini.

In an interview with Globoesporte, Maicon said: “I like challenges. My life has always been so, and now is no different. I am adapting as quickly as possible.

“I’m studying English. The club gave me a great opportunity and I will do everything to stay here for a long time. I’m enjoying it.

“Every time I go into the field, every game, every training, it is with the thought of returning to the national team.

“My dream is to play in the Confederations Cup and the World Cup in Brazil. Every day I try to show that I can come back. If I keep playing, I’ll be seen.”
