Vitória captain Uelliton has spoken of his delight of being linked with a move to Cruzeiro, a deal that is close to completion according to many reports.
Uelliton, 25, has been one of the leading defensive midfielders in Série B over the past couple of seasons and is looking forward to testing his skills in the top flight once more.
“All players dream of playing for a big team and I am no different,” Uelliton told Lancenet. “Cruzeiro are one of the biggest teams in the country and I hope that everything goes right and I sign with the Mineiro club.”
The deal with Cruzeiro was revealed by the player’s agent Antônio Gustavo, who told reporters that a verbal agreement is in place ahead of the coming transfer window.
The player also revealed that he has had an insight into the facilities and structure of the club, having participated in a friendly match at Cruzeiro’s training centre during a loan-spell with Mineiro side Itaúna earlier in his career.
