With the recently signed midfielder yet to have appeared for the Tricolor, there is much anticipation surrounding the match on Saturday evening – with 52000 tickets already sold.
The current record for the 2012 season stands at 54118 – the number of spectators who showed up for the side’s meeting with league champions Fluminense last month.
With a strong finish to the season in the attendance stakes, São Paulo (22,177) could move ahead of Grêmio (22,439) to become the second highest supported club of the season, behind only Corinthians who average 24,700.
Although Ganso is not necessarily expected to start the fixture against mid-table Naútico, it has been confirmed that he will play some part in the fixture after two weeks of training with his new side – following a hamstring injury suffered before his high profile intra-state transfer.
