Paris St-Germain winger Nenê has recoverd from the broken face injury that has kept him sidelined for the past month and should return to the PSG squad for Saturday’s clash with Rennes at the Parc des Princes, but the Brazilian star must wear a mask for protection during the match.

Nenê, 31, suffered the injury during the match against Stade de Reims on 20th October, after a clash with fellow Brazilian Diego, of Reims. The former Monaco and Santos star returned to training a week ago, and was quickly nicknamed ‘Zorro’ because of the mask.

He told Globo Esporte: “I had no way to escape. The staff, especially the Brazilians, just keep calling me Zorro. But I’ve got in the mood of the game and taken it all in my stride.”

PSG will face Rennes with a strong Brazilian presence with defenders Alex, Thiago Silva and Maxwell all expected to be involved, as well as the returning Nenê. However, Carlo Ancelotti will be without Thiago Motta, Brazilian born but naturalised Italian, who will miss out through injury. The Parisien’s will also be without Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is serving a suspension.
