Botafogo defender Dória is stll optimistic that his team can finish in the top four this season and qualify for the Copa Libertadores, despite being 5 points behind São Paulo with just three games to play.
Dória, 18, has been one of the breakthrough stars of this year"s Brasileirão and believes that Botafogo still have a chance of overtaking São Paulo because all the games left are important.
He told Lancenet: “The championship will still be alive in those last rounds. The title is already Fluminense"s, but some teams are still fighting. Sport is fighting to stay in up and we [Botafogo] for the Libertadores. For São Paulo each game will also be a final. There is no easy rounds, every game has their purpose. It will be no cakewalk."
The young defender is delighted how his first season as a professional has gone, but would love to finish on a high note.
“Playing in my first championship and then qualifying for the Libertadores would be cool, right? Botafogo has not played in it for a long time and is something that can be a milestone in my career," he added.
