FT: Brazil 1-1 Colombia - Thiago Silva with a couple of late interceptions to preserve the scoreline for the Seleção. A hard-fought draw.

90' - Slow last few minutes with all the changes, but Brazil are still pushing for a winner here.

88' - SUBSTITUTION - Giuliano enters the fray for Brazil, replacing the ineffective Oscar.

86' - Substitutions for Colombia who change to a 4-3-3 shape. Jackson Martinez amongst those to leave the pitch.

84' - David Luiz fires a long-range free-kick narrowly over the bar. Good effort.

82' - A truly terrible penalty and we have about ten minutes left to find a winner. Can either side step-up?

80' MISS - Neymar skies the ball miles over the bar from the spot.

79' PENALTY - Armero penalised for a tackle on Dani Alves. He takes out the man, but there is an argument that he took the ball there. Colombia make that point.

78' - Jackson Martinez tries to turn home Falcao's down header at the near-post but can only hit the side netting.

76' - Couple of quieter minutes. Colombia seeing most of the ball at the moment in midfield.

74' - YELLOW CARD (Mario Yepes) - The Colombian flattens Oscar just outside the penalty area. Neymar to take the free-kick.

73' - Substitution - Lucas Moura replaces Thiago Neves.

72' - YELLOW CARD (Leandro Castán). Cuadrado is flattened after beating the defender all ends up once more.

70' - Better spell of possession for Brazil now. They have been up against it for long periods.

69' - Cuadrado's excellent match continues, this time crossing for Rodriguez whose header is straight at Diego Alves. Anywhere else and it is a fine goal.

67' - Mario Yepes takes offence to a perceived dive by Neymar, but Kaká swoops in to defend the youngster and castigate his former team-mate.

66' - Diego Alves is quickly called into action at the other end to deny Falcao, with one of the Atlético man's first efforts on goal.

64' GOAL Brazil 1-1 Colombia (Neymar) - Sensational from the youngster, cutting between two defenders and placing a shot in the far corner.

63' - Falcao turns 25 yards out and looks to play home Martinez. Cut out by Dani Alves.

62' - A trademark Neymar run from the left, involving a quick one-two with Kaká, sees the Santos man with a fine chance to shoot but his shot his tame from the edge of the box.

61' - Colombia still forcing back Brazil and applying great pressure. Just the one goal today, somehow.

60' - James Rodruguez turns Ramires inside out and is clattered by Daniel Alves. The Porto youngster is having a fine game.

58' - Cuadrado gets the better of Neymar physically this time, but the young Santos man is not dissuaded and tracks back admirably to recover possession.

57' - At the other end, James Rodriguez smashes a shot wide after tidy work from Falcao.

56' - Neymar shrugs off Cuadrado before turning and playing a sensational through-ball into the centre. Oscar is flagged offside.

55' - Dani Alves is forced to cover quickly to deny James ball on the left, but cover he does. Sensational pace to the game.

54' - The duo are up and about again. A clash of heads saw both down for a minute or two.

52' - The ball is easily cleared by the Colombian defence after evading everyone in the box, but not without casualty as Yepes and Martinez collide.

51' - Oscar, who has found life tough today, wins a free-kick on the left of the box. A chance for Kaká to swing in a good delivery.

50' - Carlos Sanchez has the crowd applauding with a fine spin away from his marker in midfield before David Luiz shows fine composure in defence for Brazil.

49' - Brilliant interplay from Cuadrado and Martinez presents the full-back with a shooting chance on the volley. Fired across goal, narrowly evading Falcao.

47' - Within moments of the half getting underway, Ospina is forced into a fine low save to deny Neymar after Kaká hands the youngster a half-chance of opening the scoring.

46' - Second half underway in New Jersey

01.29 GMT - Brazil had their chances in that half, but poor decision making and a fine save kept the scores level. Colombia eventually made their possession and pressure tell with a fine goal.

HALF-TIME: Brazil 0-1 Colombia - The better side are ahead and Mano Menezes' bold selections are currently back-firing.

43' GOAL Brazil 0-1 Colombia (Cuadrado) - He's looked dangerous all game. The full-back capitalises on space behind Castán and fires powerfully home.

42' - Ramires goes for a charge forward after Brazil win the ball in midfield, before Kaká's curled effort flies narrowly over the bar.

41' - Brazil get very lucky. Leandro Castán is robbed by Jackson Martinez, but the referee blows for a free-kick.

39' - Brazil came under some sustained pressure there. They have Paulinho to thank for the scores remaining level. The stand-out player for the Seleção thus far.

38' - Woah! After a Brazil attack fizzles out with Thiago Neves, Colombia counter and only a brilliant covering tackle from Paulinho denies Falcao a strike at goal.

36' - Jackson Martinez is close to evading the Brazil defence with a flick and spin. David Luiz does well to get a head in and see the ball back to Diego Alves.

35' - Neymar once more cuts infield from the left-flank and this time goes for power with his shot. The ball, though, clears the bar by some distance.

34' - Thiago Silve does excellently to cut out a ball from Cuadrado to Falcao, stepping out of defence at the right moment to bring down the pass.

33' - Colombia, then, have probably had the better of the match thus far. It is Brazil, though, who have twice come close to scoring.

32' - Crossbar! Kaká brings the ball back under his spell after a poor touch at the edge of the area and curls a shot onto the crossbar with Ospina beaten.

30' - Falcao is lurking once more. This time James' low cross is cut out by Diego Alves with the striker lying in wait.

29' - Of the two surprise choices for Brazil, then. Leandro Castán has stuck manfully to his job so far, but has found life difficult against the tricky Cuadrado. Thiago Neves has barely been seen.

28' - We move towards the half-hour mark of this enthralling encounter then. Colombia really testing Brazil here thus far.

26' - Falcao wastes what looks to be a dangerous situation. The striker runs directly at the defence but quickly finds himself outnumbered.

25' - Going to be a yellow card soon you feel as two free-kicks are awarded to Brazil in quick succession. Both teams guilty.

24' - WHAT A SAVE! Ospina palms away a close-range Neymar header after the Santos man springs the offside trap from Daniel Alves' cross.

22' - James Rodriguez in acres of space to cross from the left this time but mishits his ball into the centre for a goal-kick. Should do better.

21' - Brazil are pressing Colombia high up the pitch, but the underdogs are keeping possession excellently so far.

20' - Armero is exploiting the space offered by Dani Alves on the right and only a good David Luiz block prevents a cross into the centre for Falcao.

18' - Ramires penalised for another foul on Falcao. Colombia take the free-kick short once more, but waste the chance with a misplaced pass.

17' - Brazil finally keep the ball for an extended period and Kaká is presented with a huge chance on the break, but pulls his shot wide of the left-hand upright.

16' - Lovely combination from James Rodriguez to Armero on the left for Colombia and the full-backs squared ball is only cut-out awkardly by Castan at the back-post.

14' - At the other end, Neymar cuts infield onto his right-foot and looks to curl a shot in the far corner but it flies safely wide of the far post.

13' - More possession for Colombia and they attack with pace once more. Rodriguez this time cannot find Falcao with his cross. Diego Alves claims.

12' - Cuadrado involved once more, combining with Martinez to create a shooting chance for Falcao. Shot blocked at the edge of the area.

11' - Colombia look to test left-back Leandro Castán and Cuadrado looks to have the beating of him, but cannot escape the attentions of a second man when cutting into the area.

10' - Colombia keeping the ball nicely in midfield for an extended period, ended only when Thiago Neves fouls Falcao. Final warning from the referee for the Fluminense midfielder.

8' - There is a lightening pace to this match as Kaká looks to combine with Neymar, but the ball won't stick with the Santos youngster.

7' - Colombia attack threatens to tear through Brazil, but a sloppy touch from forward Martinez allows David Luiz to emerge with the ball. Colombia had numbers over there.

4' - Free-kick given to Colombia in the middle of the park as Guarin is fouled by Ramires. Once more they resist launching the ball into the area.

3' - This game is waiting for no-one now it is finally underway. Colombia take a corner, which is cleared, before Brazil quickly look to counter from a subsequent free-kick.

2' - Competitive opening minute or two. Brazil mainly in possession but being harried by some energetic Colombian defending.

1' - We have kick-off in New Jersey. The 1000th game of the Seleção is underway.

00.37 GMT: Former Milan team-mates Mario Yepes and Thiago Silva exchange pleasantaries in the centre-circle and the Colombia side then gathers in a huddle. Still no start.

00.35 GMT: Still no sign of the match beginning. Not unusual for matches involving South American teams.

00.33 GMT: A passionate rendition of the Colombian anthem from the crowd in New Jersey and now the officials and players are receiving medals. Bizarre scenes.

00.30 GMT: Anthem time and, for some reason, the Star Spangled Banner is getting airtime. Bit odd ahead of Brazil-Colombia.

00.29 GMT: Just a minute or two from kick-off then in what promises to be a lively encounter. Both sides excellent in attack, with question marks over their defences.

00.15 GMT: The 1000th international fixture in the history of the Seleção Brasileira is upon us and Mano Menezes will be hoping his new-look side can overcome a Colombia team flying high in South American World Cup qualifying.

The opposition, though, are full of in-form attacking players with coach Jose Peckerman including Porto duo James Rodriguez and Jackson Martinez alongside Falcao in attack.

For Brazil, the inclusion of Leandro Castán and Thiago Neves out of their natural positions has raised eyebrows, whilst PSG-bound €47 million youngster Lucas Moura is out-of-favour and starts from the subs bench.

How will Kaká perform in his third game since his return? Will the lack of a central striker back-fire? Will Mano Menezes' job be under threat with in defeat? The game throws up a series of important questions ahead of Brazil's 2014 World Cup campaign.

Colombia: Ospina, Cuadrado, Yépes, Aquivaldo, Armero, Sánchez, Valencia, Macnelly Torres, James Rodriguez, Jackson Martínez, Falcao.

Brazil: Diego Alves, Daniel Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Paulinho, Leandro Castan, Ramires, Kaka, Óscar, Neymar, Thiago Neves.
