The injury-plagued striker, who scored his first goal for Milan in 11 months last week, fired a penalty high over the crossbar with his side trailing 1-0 on Sunday.
However, Bojan refuses to blame the former Internacional attacker for the defeat, which has left Milan languishing in 13th place in Serie A.
The Spanish attacker said: "I don’t want to talk about that particular action as the one that changed the game.
"Pato is the penalty taker. You can only miss them if you have the courage to take them. He’s a good penalty taker and it was right that he took it.
"If we equalised in the first half, things could have been different but we wasted a few chances to turn the game around."
The former Barcelona player has been full of admiration for his Brazilian teammate as he was recently quoted saying Pato "is the greatest centre-forward" he has seen.
Next up for the Rossoneri is a trip to Napoli in five days’ time.
