Atlético Mineiro’s Ronaldinho Gaúcho has expressed his disappointment at missing out on the Brasileirão but is now targeting the Copa Libertadores.

The World Cup winner has never won a single title in Brazil, and set out to change that by leading his side in their title campaign which came to an end with a 1-1 draw with Vasco last night.

Ronaldinho told reporters: “Playing with ten men in the heat is difficult but we still managed to create chances, commiting the opponents.

“Now we have to rest for the next game and finish the season well, without losing a game and getting into the Copa Libertadores.”

Grêmio have moved into second after their win against São Paulo and Ronaldinho says they must keep fighting: “We do not need to worry about anyone, we have games left and we ill seek to add as many points as we can to get into the Libertadores.”
