Montpellier defender Vitorino Hilton will miss tonight’s game with Paris Saint-Germain due to injury but hopes his side can beat the league leaders.

The 35-year-old, who has made nine appearances so far this season, has suffered a groin injury and will therefore miss the Ligue 1 clash.

Hilton believes that a win against PSG, who have only lost once this season, will be very beneficial for the rest of Montpellier’s season.

He told Sambafoot: “I’m hurt and I will not play against PSG.

“But I hope that our team will have a great match and win the game.

“A win would be very important for the rest of the championship.”

Montpellier are currently 15th in the league and have a number of injuries ahead of tonight’s game, whilst PSG will be without Brazilian winger Nenê amongst others.

The game at the Stade de la Mosson is scheduled to kick off at 20:00 BST.
