Zenit St Petersburg’s Danny has revealed his admiration for Brazilian teammate Hulk and believes they will benefit from his arrival.
Hulk has been sidelined in recent weeks as Zenit continue their poor form by crashing to a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Anderlecht in the Champions League.
Danny told reporters: “Hulk is an incredibly good player and I enjoy being with him as I loved playing alongside Andrei Arshavin and Alejandro Dominguez. So when I started playing with Hulk, I knew everything will go well.”
The Portuguese attacker admitted his disappointment in the performance: “I am very disappointed but I must say that Anderlecht is not an easy team. They played well at the start, then scored and did everything that we failed to do.
“But we still have a chance to move on. We just need to play better than this in order to keep a place in the Champions League.”
