São Paulo playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso is on schedule to make his long-awaited debut next Tuesday night against Náutico at Morumbi.

Ganso, 23, signed for São Paulo from Santos in September after falling out with his former club over a new contract. However, the player was already injured when he joined the club after picking up a thigh injury against Bahia in August.

And São Paulo head coach Ney Franco has confirmed the midfielder could be back next Tuesday, but they will confer with the doctors first.

He told Lancenet: “Next Tuesday, we’ll have a meeting with Ganso, the doctors, physical therapists and physical trainers. We will discuss and make a plan. There is the possibility of using him against Nautico, but we decide on Tuesday.”

Winger Lucas Moura is also keen for the player to return to action as he wants to play with the former Santos man before he makes his big move to Paris St-Germain this January.
