Eduardo has claimed that Shakhtar are ‘even more respected’ in Europe after their 2-1 victory over Chelsea in Donetsk three weeks ago.

The former Arsenal striker told the club’s official website: “I have been living in Donetsk for two years, and I know our current level. After the victory over Chelsea, we are even more respected in Europe.”

The Brazil-born striker, who has elected to play for Croatia, believes that the team can win in London.

“In the first game we showed that we can beat strong opponents. In an away fixture we need to play our own game, orchaestrating attacks just like we did at home.

“I think that if Chelsea go forward in numbers, then we will have a good chance of scoring on the counterattack. It is important to convert our scoring opportunities.”

Shakhtar will face Chelsea in tonight’s Group E clash knowing that a victory clould send them through to the knockout stage of the Champions League.
