
Sister of Seleção striker Hulk kidnapped in North-East Brazil

The youngest sister of Brazil forward Hulk has been kidnapped in Campina Grande in Paraíba state on Monday afternoon, police have now confirmed.
According to the Military Police, Angelica Aparecida Vieira, 22, was taken from a car in-front of a restaurant in the city at around 14.00 local time.
Angelica was accompanied by the manager of another restaurant, where she worked as a nutritionist, but when he briefly left the car, she was approached by the kidnappers. Police are yet to confirm how many men were involved in the incident.
Her manager, Helio Pereira da Silva, was later treated for shock following the incident and was taken to a local hospital. He has since been released.
Police have also confirmed that, for now, there has been no contact from the kidnappers regarding their demands for release.
There is a history of kidnappings involving the families of football players in Brazil, with Romario, Robinho, Luis Fabiano and Ricardo Oliveira's families all having been targeted. In the case of Robinho, one of the longest incidents, his mother was taken for 41 days in 2004.
