Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger is reportedly considering dropping André Santos for the club’s Champions League game with Schalke following his actions against Manchester United.

The left-back has been the weak link in the Gunners’ side recently, due to the absence of Kieran Gibbs, and things went from bad to worse on Saturday.

Santos has faced heavy criticism following the game as he was seen swapping shirts with former teammate Robin Van Persie during the half-time break, when United were leading 1-0.

The Brazilian had endured a woeful first half as Van Persie put Manchester United into the lead, who  went on to win 2-1, and left fans baffled with his actions at the interval.

According to The Mirror, Arsène Wenger was far from pleased with the defender, and questioned him in the dressing room about why he had embarrassed the club in such fashion.

Wenger is expected to elaborate on his feelings about the incident when he holds a press conference later today, ahead of the club’s trip to the German side.
