Metalist Kharkiv’s Willian has set his side a target of qualifying for next season’s Champions League by finishing second in the Ukrainian League.

In an interview with Terra, Willian said: “It is difficult to catch Shakhtar who are 15 points ahead, but our battle is with Dynamo Kiev and Dnipro for second place, which gives a place in the Champions League.”

Willian also took the time to back former club Corinthians to win the World Club Cup: “I have no doubt that Chelsea have a strong team, but I see that Corinthians are in excellent condition and will play well as did other Brazilian teams who won the competition.”

The Brazilian admitted he still keeps in touch: “I always speak with the staff, with Fabio Santos, Julio Cesar, Paulinho, and others who have left such as Castan and Alex. We’ll be cheering them on. I’m really happy that I left the club victorious and but I left many friends.”
