Kaka: I never considered leaving Real
Real Madrid's Kaka has insisted he never considered leaving the Spanish giants and wants to see out his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Kaka, who has become somewhat of a peripheral figure at Real, told Estadao: "Even when there was lots of talk in the summer I did not think about leaving because I was sure I could bring a lot to Real Madrid."
The midfielder, who recently returned to the Seleção, is happy at the club and wants to see out his contract: "I still have three years left on this contract and I think I can contribute. I want to continue at Real Madrid, earn a place in the team and win titles."
The former AC Milan playmaker has been reinvigorated by his recent performances for Brazil against Japan and Iraq: "I think those games I had with the Seleção were very good for me. They made it clear that I am in good shape, playing well and it was important for me personally."
Kaka hopes to have put the woes of recent seasons behind him: "This season has been a reaffirmation for me and the recent games have given me confidence."
The player did rule out a return to Brazil in the near future, but admitted that there could only be one option if he did return: "I am not going to Brazil in the short term but if I returned my priority would of course be São Paulo."
