Grêmio boss Vanderlei Luxemburgo: We grinded out the result

Grêmio boss Vanderlei Luxemburgo praised his players for grinding out the result after their 1-0 win over Colombian side Millionarios.
The coach cited Grêmio's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Palmeiras in the Brazil Cup as a lesson they learned: "In that game we lost to Palmeiras because we let in two goals with five minutes left to play.
"Today we protected ourselves more. That game served as an example of holding out to get the result.
"If we score a goal, the second has to come natually. We should not be letting the other team back in. Today, we played the right way. They had a team full of quick players, but we did not give them any chances to use it. It wasn't a pretty performance but we won."
Grêmio now take a goal advantage to Millionarios on November 15 for the second leg. They could face either Paraguay's Cerro Porteno or Argentina's Tigre in the semi-finals.
