PSG’s Nenê has returned to training after recovering from surgery on a double fractured cheekbone.

The winger, 31, told reporters: “I rested for a few days after the operation, and on Monday, I ran on the treadmill. But I was longing to work with the ball and on Tuesday I was released to warm up with the rest of the group. I’m very happy to be back.”

It was also revealed that Nenê will wear a protective mask after having three metal plates inserted into his cheek.

Nenê said: “An expert made a mold of my face and is already making it. As soon as the mask is ready, I’ll train with it for a few days to adapt. Then it depends on me, next week I’ll be at the disposal of Carlo Ancelotti.”

The Brazilian is scheduled to return to first team action against Montpellier on November 11 as PSG continue their dominant league form, sitting at the top of the table after ten games.
