Emerson: Corinthians can beat Chelsea and win Club World Cup

Corinthians striker Emerson Sheik believes that the Brasileirão side have all the qualities required to beat Chelsea and clinch the Club World Cup title in December.
However Emerson, who was decisive in the club's Copa Libertadores victory earlier this season, insists that the club must first focus on progressing from the semi-final stage to ensure a possible meeting with the West London side.
Questioned whether Chelsea's recent defeats to Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester United gave them added hope, Emerson told Globo Esporte: "I think that, regardless of Chelsea's recent defeats, Corinthians are also a great club and are working hard.
"Chelsea have our respect, they are a great team with great players, but we have another game before we reach the final. We have to first think about that game. If we can win that game, we have the qualities to win the title."
Corinthians, who won the 2011 Brasileirão before adding this year's Copa Libertadores title, have had a slow end to the 2012 season as they continue preparations for December's tournament in Japan.
