The squad named confirms the presence of those players based in Brazil, a change in policy from the European-based only squads of last November, and one sure to annoy the clubs competing for honours in the Brasileirão.
The squad will travel to the United States on November 12 and will return to their clubs the day after the fixture, allowing the players to avoid missing a domestic fixture – even if their preparations will be disrupted.
Left-back Marcelo misses out through injury, whilst Fabio Santos (pictured) is a surprise selection ahead of Manchester United’s Rafael or Porto’s Danilo, both of whom have enjoyed strong starts to the new season.
