According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan are preparing for the sales of stars Robinho, Kevin Prince Boateng and Alexandre Pato in January, with the latter a target for European champions Chelsea.

The sales would be designed to raise money for what the paper describes as a ‘revolution’ at the club, as well as to lower the club’s high wage bill.

The trio are seen as dispensable, with Pato often injured, Boateng out of form and Santos linked Robinho an inconsistent threat who has also been out of action this campaign.

The paper goes on to report that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is thought to be prepared to sanction an offer for former Internacional youngster Pato, in the hope that the youngster can fulfil his undoubted potential with the Blues.

The English side are believed to be looking to replace Fernando Torres at the spearhead of their attacking unit following the Spaniard’s recent travails, with Atlético Madrid’s Radamel Falcao also linked to the club.
