Coritiba coach Marquinhos proud of team performance

Coritiba coach Marquinhos Santos praised his team's performance in their 2-1 defeat at the hands of title leaders Fluminense at the Engenhão.
Marquinhos told reporters after the defeat: "It was a balanced game and we just made an error which led to the first goal. But we were the better side in the second half and deserved to come out with a better result."
Despite the setback, the coach was satisfied with the performance: "The group has assimilated the system very well and we didn't surrender the match.
"We believed we could win, the group has made me very proud. I leave satisfied with the quality of play and the performance."
The coach also criticised the Brazilian football calendar: "The timing of football in Brazil is too complicated and has to be revised urgently. If you do not have a squad with quality or numbers, some competitions have to be ignored.
"But we have a plan and we will continue the work. We will add points to put Coritiba in a position they deserve."
