Corinthians coach Tite: World Club Cup is the 'icing on the cake'
Corinthians coach Tite says that the Club World Cup would be the 'icing on the cake' and admitted he and his team are raring to get started.
The coach told reporters: "My attitude is not lip service. On Sunday, it hit home that we would be competing on the World Club Cup. Adrenaline was pumping and we are involved in preparations for the competition. It gives us a boost in confidence."
Tite also responded to questions about whether Chinese striker Zizao would be on the list for the competition: "Nothing is set in stone yet, I know what football is like.
"Here in the middle of the Brasilieirão with games against Vasco, Inter, São Paulo and Santos, and I'm talking about the World Club Cup."
Corinthians will travel to Japan after the end of the Brasileirão in December and will play their first match on December 12, although the opponent is so far unknown.
One potential opponent for Corinthians could be Europe's representative, Chelsea, who beat Bayern Munich in last year's Champions League final.
