Vasco da Gama captain Juninho hoping to link up again with Chelsea outcast Florent Malouda

Vasco da Gama captain Juninho Pernambucano is keen to link up once again with former teammate and current Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda, as it looks increasingly likely that the player will end up in Brazil for the next stage of his career.
The Frenchman, 32, is good friends with the Vasco legend from their hugely successful time at Lyon and is currently plotting where to go next in his career after being forced to train with the reserves at Chelsea under new boss Roberto di Matteo.
In an interview with the French press after his trial with Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) last week, Juninho said: "I had contact with him by phone in January. I wanted him to come to Vasco. There was contact, the club was interested, but unfortunately it was not possible for financial reasons."
Juninho is excited about the possibility of seeing Malouda playing in Brazil and believes he will fit right in.
"I think it will be a little difficult at first (adaptation), but with all his qualities, I think he will bring a lot to the Brazilian football. I hope he will."
The 32-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, with Santos and former club Lyon said to be interested.
