Atlético Mineiro can still win the title says Bernard ahead of Fluminense clash

Ahead of Sunday's top of the table clash against league leaders Fluminense, Atlético Mineiro star Bernard has admitted that the title dream is not over yet and victory at Independência would reduce the gap at the top to just 6 points with 6 games remaining.
Bernard, 20, could not explain why their early season form dropped but is happy with the season that Atlético have had and vowed to continue working hard until the end of the season to make sure they achieve at spot in next year's Copa Libertadores at least.
He told Lancenet: "I do not know, we can not explain ... But we look forward. We cannot whine and lower our heads. Let's do our part until the end of the championship and hope Fluminense loses some games.
"Let's see what happens. But it is noteworthy that our goal at the beginning of the year was to win a spot in the Libertadores. Fortunately, we're fighting for it. The chance of winning the title still exists, but the difference is great."
The 20-year-old has been a revelation this season and is strongly tipped to win the Newcomer of the year award. However, he was quick to acknowledge the form of a player who will be on the opposing side this Sunday.
"I'm living very happy and I have been noticed, for sure. I can and will improve further. I am among the revelations. It's hard to see me as the primary revelation, but I'm fighting for it. Wellington Nem is very good too."
