Thiago Neves is Milan target - report
Fluminense midfielder Thiago Neves is a transfer target for Italian giants AC Milan in January, according to a report in Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday.
The Italian media outlet also reports that fellow Serie A sides Roma and Lazio are also looking at the prospect of signing the Brazil international, who signed for Fluminense last January for €7 million.
Neves, 27, has enjoyed an indifferent 2012 season, performing well at times but generally finding himself overshadowed by the trio of Wellington Nem, Fred and Deco.
Fluminense executive director, Rodrigo Caetano, confirmed to media earlier in the week that the club had received several approaches for their players recently but did not mention Neves amongst the list of names offered - youngsters Wallace, Wellington Nem, Marcos Júnior and Samuel.
Thiago Neves will be part of the Fluminense line-up that take on Atlético Mineiro in a top of the table clash at the Arena Independencia in Minas Gerais on Sunday evening.
