
Coritiba signing Alex pays tribute to Fenerbahçe supporters

Coritiba's new signing Alex has paid tribute to Fenerbahçe supporters, thanking them for their support during his time at the Turkish club.
Alex, 35, who was paraded in front of 5,000 Coritiba fans, told the press conference: "My last two weeks in Turkey were very intense, In the morning I went out as captain of the team and returned in the afternoon unemployed because the coach pushed me away."
The Brazilian was released after a series of disagreements with the coach, but acknowledged the fans: "I saw the reaction of the fans, that was crazy. The Turks are passionate Brazilians and have a great affection for me. "
He also claimed that the Fenerbahçe fans would adopt Coritiba as their second team: "Today, Coritiba won a player and 25 million fans. They will be like a second team for the Turkish fans."
Alex still has a place in his heart for Fenerbahçe and their supporters: "Fenerbahçe has a special place. I played there eight years and had two children here, the connection is intense.
"I will remember this forever, I want to thank from the bottom of my heart and say it was fantastic. I will cheer on the club."
