Ramires: Partnership with Paulinho will only get better
Chelsea star Ramires was impressed by the performances of fellow midfielder Paulinho and hailed their partnership as one to watch in the future.
The Seleção midfielder, 25, told Lancenet!: "Paulinho is a friend I made in the Seleção, a great guy. We got along very well in these two friendlies. We look good in midfield, giving more options for the team and that was very positive."
Ramires believes that there is a future for their budding relationship and says the team will benefit as they get better: "We linked up well. We talked a lot and tried to attack in turns so we didn't leave the defence unprotected.
"I believe that we can synchronise these attacks well and play a good game, like the rest of the Seleção."
Ahead of the 2014 World Cup, Ramires stated his belief that Brazil will only get better: "I see our team are in a very good place, showing potential and evolving every game. We will strive to meet expectations in future games."
Ramires will now return to Chelsea with teammates David Luiz and Oscar ahead of a potential Club World Cup clash against Paulinho's Corinthians in December.
