Kaka was delighted with his performance in the 4-0 friendly win over Japan as the Seleção midfielder inspired his teammates to a resounding victory.

The Real Madrid star told reporters that he hoped he could continue to play under Mano Menezes: “I liked it. I think I’ve contributed to the Seleção in these two matches and I can add something to the group. I hope that it wasn’t a one-off call-up.”

Of the performance, Kaká believes that the games against Iraq and Japan have been a boost to his confidence: “Individually it was good because it gave me a run of games.”

Kaká was the subject of a surprise selection as Mano Menezes reshuffled his squad for the two friendlies and he will not have done his chances of future call-ups any harm after two outstanding performances.

The former AC Milan midfielder formed an immediate understanding with fellow Brazilian Neymar in the two games and fans of the Seleção will be hoping to see more of these two in action.
