Former Fenerbahçe midfielder Alex de Souza arrived back in Brazil on Saturday and announced that he has “already decided his future”.

Alex, 35, arrived at the airport in Paraná state at 08.00 to a reception of around 150 Coritiba fans, determined to compete with Cruzeiro supporters’ recent displays of affection for their former star.
“For me, this is amazing,” Alex told reporters on arrival. ‘In Curitiba, at 8 o’clock in the morning… It’s emotional.”
All of the star’s former sides, Palmeiras, Coritiba and Cruzeiro have made approaches for the attacking-midfielder, whilst Grêmio have also spoken of their interest.
“In my head, everything is already decided,” Alex revealed. “But, at the right time, I will disclose my choice. Now, I’ll get some rest and sort some personal affairs.
“I think I can make an announcement in ten days,” he finished.
Palmeiras have already announced they have a meeting arranged with the former Seleção star in the coming days, while Cruzeiro have said that they believe they will win the race for his signature. At the same time, Alex has always said that he would like to retire at childhood side Coritiba. The race is on!
