Corinthians midfielder Paulinho has suggested that a move to Italian giants Inter Milan could be on the cards after his involvement at the FIFA Club World Cup, reports Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 24-year-old Seleção star was a subject of interest from the Serie A side during the summer, but opted to remain in his homeland. He said:
“Over the summer, Inter were the only club that came to Sao Paulo and put a concrete offer to me.
“But I wasn’t ready to leave my home and go to Europe, so I chose to stay. I also felt I owed a debt to Corinthians, as we had just won the Copa Libertadores. I hope Inter understood.
“Inter are Inter, though, and they have been a starting point for many Brazilians. One day I will go.
“After the Club World Cup I will decide on my future and if Inter come calling again, we’ll talk.”
