Manchester United full-back Rafael da Silva has added the club"s Goal of the Month award for September to his Player of the Month trophy.
Rafael, 22, clinched the award for his comeback-inspiring strike against Liverpool at Anfield, with the prize voted for by the club"s fans and viewers of the MUTV television channel.
With United having fallen 1-0 behind, the Brazilian offered an almost immediate response, cutting-in off the right flank and curling a delightul left-footed shot into the net off the far-post.
After the match, Rafael told the club"s website: “It"s definitely the best one I"ve scored for United. It was a good moment to get it because it was so quick after they scored.
"I was so pleased [to score] for the fans. They always give me such great support and I know this is an important game for them so I"m very happy."
Last week the former Fluminense youngster beat club legend Paul Scholes to the club"s Player of the Month award, winning 44% of the public vote.
