The Blues midfielder has been enjoying a starting role under Mano Menezes and is set to start again during Brazil’s friendly with Iraq on Thursday.

Kaká will partner Ramires in midfield, which will be the 30-year-old’s first international appearance for two years and his first cap under coach Menezes.

Ramires has revealed his admiration for the Real Madrid playmaker, who he played alongside during the 2010 World Cup and the Confederations Cup in 2009.

He said: “The last game we played with all players, against China, we were fine. We hope that the arrival of Kaká, who is an excellent player, can bring more quality to the group.

“I have been playing with Oscar at Chelsea and it has worked very well. I hope we can play as good of a game and the squad can show the football that everyone expects."

Thursday’s game is taking place at the Swedbank Stadion in Malmö, Sweden, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30 BST.

The Seleção will then travel to Poland for a friendly against Japan on October 16.
