Zico"s side are currently ranked 80th in the Fifa World rankings, 66 places below Brazil, but the former Seleção star hopes that the game can be a learning experience for his players as they look to qualify for the 2014 World Cup.
He said: “Iraq is well below [The level of Brazil. But it’s a game and Football is football. I guess we can have a good workout, and can learn more about the team selection. But I cannot face Brazil without fear because we risk what happened against China [Brazil won 8-0]."
The former Japan coach also admitted that he would have preferred to face a smaller nation, one similar to their qualification opponents.
“Actually, I had asked for an opponent with the characteristic of Australia, because of the qualifiers. I thought of Scotland or Wales. For us this would have been better, but playing against teams like Brazil, Argentina, Holland, Italy is always an advantage.
