Corinthians striker Emerson Sheik is already casting one eye on the FIFA Club World Cup and a possible match up against Chelsea when the tournament gets underway in Japan this December.

Sheik, 34, scored both goals in the historic 2-0 victory over Boca Juniors in the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final in July and believes the Timão have nothing to fear if they come up against the winners of the Uefa Champions League.

He said: “Chelsea are a very rich club, right? It’s eleven against eleven, we have no fear.

“Ramires gave an interview saying that Chelsea do not speak of the World Club Cup because they do not care too. The last game I saw of Chelsea he lost 4-1 (European Supercup final against Atletico Madrid). They will not find cakewalk.”

Sheik is currently serving a 6 game ban for refusing to leave the pitch and insulting the referee in a post-match interview after being sent off against Atlético Mineiro.
