Fred scores spectacular goal in Flu-Fla derby

Fred, 28, who was dropped from Mano Menezes' recent Seleção, scored an astonishing overhead kick in the 18th minute to secure the win for Abel Braga's side as Fluminense ran out 1-0 winners.
The goal was the ex-Lyon striker's 13th of the season and he was assisted with a cross by the former Barcelona, Porto and Chelsea midfielder Deco.
It was a fiery occasion, even for this historic fixture, as nine yellow cards were dished out and a red card late in injury time for Flamengo defender Ramon after a second booking.
Flamengo had the chance to rescue a point in the 87th minute but were denied as Dario Botinelli's penalty was saved by ex-Liverpool keeper Diego Cavalieri.
Fred's effort comes after his recent omission from the Seleção and his latest performance will certainly have caught the eye of the Brazil coach.
Fluminense are league leaders after 27 games, six points ahead of nearest rivals Atlético Mineiro.
Flamengo currently lie in 11th after their defeat.
