Flamengo striker Liédson has declared himself fully fit, following his goal in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Atletico Goianiense.

The Brazilian-born Portuguese striker, who has suffered with a number of knee injuries during his career, helped Flamengo come from behind to win in Goiania, ending a seven-match winless streak.

Liédson has struggled to regain fitness since returning to Flamengo in August, following his release from Corinthians, but the forward says he is now ready to contribute.

He said: “I talked to Dorival [Flamengo coach], I explained my situation and he knows what I am capable of.

“I can play 90 minutes and I am ready to help my teammates. I know I can play with Vagner Love."

The forward scored 13 goals during 34 appearances for Corinthians, but has only managed eight appearances since his return to rivals Flamengo.

Liédson was considered one of the most consistent strikers in Portugal"s top-flight during an eight-year spell with Sporting Lisbon, where he scored 116 goals in 214 matches.
