Desportivo Brasil have confirmed that they will loan four of their young players to São Paulo, including Manchester United linked duo Lucas Evangelista and Gladestony.
The duo, both midfielders, as well as centre-back Diego Carlos and full-back Daniel Chula will head to the Morumbi as São Paulo look to restructure their youth ranks ahead of the Copa São Paulo youth tournament 2013.
“São Paulo have paid a symbolic amount, with the option to buy at the end of the loaned and Desportivo, in whatever form, will retain a sell-on percentage in case of a future move,” confirmed Desportivo vice-president Rodolfo Canavesi.
Where the moves leave Gladestony and Lucas Evangelista, with regards to their agreements with Manchester United, it remains to be seen.
Gladestony failed to make an impact on a loan move to FC Twente and is unlikely to join the Red Devils, but Lucas Evangelista is considered a fine prospect by both Brazilian and English club.
