Julio Cesar put in a fine display on his Queens Park Rangers debut as the Super Hoops secured a 0-0 home draw with European champions Chelsea.

The goalkeeper, who joined QPR from Inter Milan this summer, was forced into early action to deny Eden Hazard and later stood firm to bat away a powerful Victor Moses drive.

In truth, though, the draw was the very least the hosts deserved in a game featuring four Brazilians, with both Park Ji-Sung and Bobby Zamora squandering excellent opportunities to secure the victory in the second-half.

The one sour note from a QPR perspective was the injuries suffered to Andy Johnson, Fábio da Silva and Anton Ferdinand.

It remains to be seen how long Brazilian Fábio will be out of action, after his ankle was accidently trodden on by Chelsea’s Spanish forward Fernando Torres.

For the Blues, both David Luiz and Ramires were involved from the start of the game and played the full ninety minutes, whilst Oscar remained on the bench throughout.
