Paris Saint-Germain winger Nenê has revealed that Italian giants AC Milan tried to capture his signature this summer, but the Brazilian fell short of the club’s valuation.

The fee demanded by Les Parisens was believed to be €7 million which was more than the Serie A outfit were willing to pay.

PSG’s sporting director said Milan’s bid was not high enough to take the former Espanyol player to the San Siro.

Nenê said: “Leonardo told me that it was not possible because of the amount that PSG asked for me.”

However, the 31-year-old could still leave the club in the near future.

“In January, leaving PSG is a possibility,” he added. “I think I can still play in Europe for another three years at a high level.”

Nenê has scored a total of 47 goals in 102 appearances for PSG since joining the Ligue 1 outfit in 2010, which was a deal believed to be around €5.5 million.

The Brazilian, who has also played for Palmeiras and Santos, finished as the joint top goalscorer in Ligue 1 last season, with Olivier Giroud, and fourth in the assists table.
