Manchester United set to sell Anderson - report

According to a report on world football website Goal.com, Manchester United are preparing to sell Brazilian midfielder Anderson in the coming months.
Anderson, 24, joined Manchester United in 2007 from FC Porto and after an initial bright start has struggled to make an impact, following a series of consecutive injuries.
The website quotes a Manchester United source who believes that the Premier League side are now looking to cut their losses on the midfielder, for whom they paid a reported £18 million five years ago.
“Fergie has been waiting for Anderson to burst into life but it just doesn’t look like it’s going to happen because he's not got back on track since his cruciate knee ligament injury in 2010,” the source told Goal.com.
“He’s definitely considered available for the right offer, but a young player on a long contract won’t be sold on the cheap."
The news comes just a few days after Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson praised Anderson and the club's other Brazilian players for their positive attitude in training.
