Chelsea defender David Luiz believes Brazil are getting stronger

Chelsea defender David Luiz believes the Seleção are getting stronger by the game, and has praised the home fans following Brazil’s 8-0 drubbing of China last night.
The young centre-back, who had a quiet game in Recife last night due to his side’s total dominance, has temporarily replaced the injured Thiago Silva as Brazil captain.
However, when asked about the captaincy, the Chelsea player preferred to talk about the strength of the Brazil group and highlighted the importance of the fans inside the Arruda Stadium last night.
The 25-year-old said: "I'm glad to be helping in some way. We managed to give a gift to this wonderful public.
"This friendship we have within the group only makes it increasingly possible to unite and show that we're together. Every game together we are stronger.
"Our behaviour was significant, showing that we are strong at home. Our fans were terrific."
This is a huge contrast to the Seleção’s friendly with South Africa on Friday, when many players publicly criticised the home fans for their lack of support and booing during the match.
With the supporters appeased for now, Brazil now head into a Superclassico double-header with Argentina starting on September 20.
