The CBF is trying to find friendly opposition after Argentina pulled out of a friendly and Uruguay and Ecuador refused invites.

The friendly match is not in Fifa sancationed so it appears unclear exactly who Brazil will field should they arrange a game. The game has been arranged to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Globo TV.

The CBF had originally hoped to arrange a match with Argentina but they declined as they did not want players travelling to Brazil mid season.
