Roberto Carlos: Diarra is going to have a great experience at Anzhi

Anzhi Makhachkala sporting director Roberto Carlos believes Lassana Diarra is going to enjoy his time at the club.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who has played for Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth, joined the Russian side on a four-year deal from Real Madrid on Monday.

Speaking about Diarra's transfer to Anzhi, Roberto Carlos told Marca Radio: ''There is a spending limit at the club, which helps the youth academy and also Russian football. I don’t know how much was paid for Lass. All I can say is that Real Madrid really helped make the transfer a straightforward one. It’s going to be a great experience for the player.''
