Paris Saint-Germain winger Nenê has had a heated altercation with Zlatan Ibrahimovic during a training session.

The 31-year-old reportedly made a bad challenge against the Swedish striker during training at Camp des Loges on Wednesday.

Ibrahimovic reacted rashly and attempted to punch the Brazilian, which is when other Paris Saint-Germain players had to intervene and calm the two men down.

Nenê has claimed it was due to their competitive nature and there have been no problems due to the incident.

He said: “There is no problem for me with what happened with Zlatan. It can happen.

“This is not the first time or the last. We’re both competitors, which means we are involved in our work.

“There was a tackle, as there were many other players with nothing said. Everyone wants to show more in training.”

Nenê is out of contract with the Ligue 1 giants next summer and has had to weigh up his options.

“I’ve always wanted to stay and I have not changed my mind,” he added. “Given the situation, if there was a good offer it would be discussed.”

Nenê joined Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco in 2010, in a deal believed to be around €5.5 million.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are in action against Lille at the Grand Stade this evening.
