AC Milan forward Robinho out for a month with thigh injury

AC Milan forward Robinho could face up to a month on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
The 28-year-old had to be replaced by Urby Emanuelson towards the end of his side's 1-0 defeat to Sampdoria on Sunday, during the opening weekend of the new Serie A season.
A statement on the Rossoneri's official website confirmed tests have shown a “first degree strain to the right thigh” and that “the recovery time is expected to be three to four weeks, save for complications.”
It is another blow for the Italian giants, with Robinho’s fellow Brazilian Alexandre Pato ruled out with a muscular problem following the Trofeo Berlusconi earlier this month.
The injury crisis may have contributed to the club's late surge in transfer activity, with Bojan Krkic set to follow Giampaolo Pazzini and M'Baye Niang to San Siro before the August 31 deadline.
