Rosell: Neymar has an extraordinary future but you can't compare him to Messi

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell believes that Neymar has a bright future ahead of him but insists that the Santos forward cannot be compared to Lionel Messi.

It is has been widely speculated that Neymar will move to the Camp Nou after the 2014 World Cup, with Barça's vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu recently admitting that the club are keen on signing the 20-year-old.

However, whilst acknowledging that Neymar is an exceptional talent, Bartoumeu's colleague Rosell is in no doubt that the Brazil international is not as good as Barcelona's star forward Lionel Messi.

''[Neymar] has an extraordinary future, but I don't think that any player in the world can be compared to Messi. Messi is unique and unrepeatable,'' the Barça chief told Avui.
