Santos star Ganso booed by fans for comments regarding São Paulo

Santos star Paulo Henrique Ganso was booed by fans following his side's 2-1 victory over Palmeiras last night due to comments he made regarding a move to São Paulo.
The 22-year-old was quoted recently saying that ''it would be a pleasure to wear the shirt of São Paulo'', which upset many people at the club and fans alike.
Ganso expressed his wish to leave Santos in June after negotiations broke down over an improved contract and despite publicly retracting the decision earlier this month, it is understood both parties are seeking to part ways.
Ganso said: "This is not the first time that fans have protested. Last year was the same thing, but my head is good. My desire is to play for Santos, but so many things are happening off-screen that I am upset.
''I have always honored my team jersey and I even played hurt, nobody talks about that. I do not feel under pressure. I played calmly and contributed to two goals for Neymar.''
Neymar tried to shield his teammate by saying that ''he is my personal friend and I want to see him happy and on my side. For me he is playing well.''
Ganso’s future at the Vila Belmiro has been the subject of intense speculation over the last few weeks after Delcir Sonda, the owner of the group which holds 55 per cent of the player's market value, claimed that the midfielder will not play for Santos again due to him being unhappy with life at the club.
Ganso added: ''I do not regret the statements. São Paulo, Palmeiras, Santos, Inter are clubs that you can never discard. But I'm helping the Saints to come out as a winner.''
