FC Bayern Munich beat Greuther Fürth 3-0, on Saturday, at the Trolli Arena, in the first round of the Bundesliga. With this result, Bayern Munich begins well the competition and leads on goal difference.
The goals of the victory of Bayern Munich were scored by Thomas Müller, after 43 minutes of the first half, Mandzukic, after 14 minutes of the second half, and Kleine(own goal), in the 34 minute of the second half.
"I'm delighted to have started the Bundesliga with a good away win. Greuther Fürth started the match tightly closed and it was very difficult for the opportunities to arise. Once we scored the first goal, the game opened up for us with more opportunities and we were able to capitalize on them. We could have scored more goals, but for the first match of the competition is very good," said the defender Dante.
"Here at Bayern we have big goals for this season. Therefore, we begin the competition with a big win and that shows we're on the right track. Still, we have some injured players who will be returning soon and the team will be getting stronger. Today, for example, Ribery, Rafinha, Alaba and Gomez did not play. When everyone is 100% the fight for positions will be fierce and the team has to gain with this," concluded.
The next game of Bayern in the Bundesliga will be against VfB Stuttgart, at home, on Sunday, 2nd September.
