Agent: Manchester City, Chelsea and Real lead chase for Maicon
The agent of Inter Milan full-back Maicon claims that his client is the centre of a three way battle for his services.
Maicon, 31, has made clear his desire to leave the San Siro this summer and there have been months of speculation over his future.
With just a week left of the transfer window, though, agent Roberto Calenda has told reporters that Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea lead the chase for his signature.
"There is interest from Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea in the player - there is no possibility of him going to Milan or Juventus," Calenda told Calcio Mercato.
"He has honoured the shirt of Inter for six seasons and has too much respect for the fans to betray them in that way. He may even stay at Inter."
With Chelsea having completed the signing of Spanish full-back César Azpilicueta on Friday, though, a move to the Blues would now seem unlikely, while Real Madrid have recently renewed the contract of Alvaro Arbeloa.
All eyes, then, will be on Eastlands to see if Roberto Mancini will head back to Inter to procure his former player.
